Volkswagen’s latest version of the venerable EA888 2.0T will start to arrive in the Beetle Turbo and Jetta GLI later this month. Horsepower gets bumped to 210hp, fuel economy is improved 4-9% depending on the application and the new engine sheds eight pounds of weight. This latest version of the 2.0T also has the exhaust header integrated into the head and water-cooled. We expect some impressive potential from the aftermarket on this one.
