New Hella Products At Essen Motor Show 2004

Lippstadt, Germany – October 2004 – Whether it’s CELIS light rings or the new clear-glass variant with the very latest design – Hella will be presenting no less than two new upgrade headlamps for the Golf IV at this year’s Motor Show in Essen from 26th November to 5th December. In addition, the lighting specialist will also be showing the HydroLux 1000 FF in Hall 1 / Stand 04 – the first auxiliary driving lamp for off-road vehicles that is waterproof up to a depth of one meter. Further highlights include the new design combination rear lamp for the BMW 5 Series (E60) in brilliant silver with diadem bulbs, as well as vehicle-specific daytime running lights for the Golf V.

What is already available for the Golf III is not to be denied the Golf IV either (from model year 9/97): The exclusive upgrade main headlamps with the striking CELIS light rings from Hella. This means that the second “Wolfsburger” can now also be customized using the light ring look. The brightest and most powerful LEDs currently available give the light guide rings their brilliant white appearance. Together with the brilliant high-gloss appearance of the clear-glass headlamp, they give the vehicle an unmistakable and striking design both by day and night.

In addition, Hella has developed a new upgrade headlamp of the very latest design especially for the VW Golf IV (from model year 9/97). One optical innovation is the direction indicator in the lower area of the headlamp, which takes its inspiration from the latest design and ensures an improved signaling effect. The upgrade headlamp has a cover lens made of streak-free real glass. It offers a view of the latest, high-gloss aluminized free-form reflectors, which are made of high heat-resistant Ultem plastic and which ensure optimum light distribution. The bezel is available either in chrome or basalt gray.

The vehicle-specific daytime running light with clear cover lens from Hella for the Volkswagen Golf V combines modern lighting technology with elegant design and ensures a decisive plus in terms of safety. Thanks to its clear-glass look, the new daytime running light is a perfect match for the front-end of the new Golf and blends in harmoniously with the overall impression. The new clear-glass lamp is designed especially for increased perception of the vehicle in daylight and can be discerned better than the low beam by other road users. Due to the low power consumption of 16 watts per lamp, an increase in fuel consumption barely measurable. In comparison to driving with full lighting on during the day, fuel consumption is even significantly reduced.

Other highlights to be seen on the Hella stand in Hall 1/ Stand 04 at the Motor Show Essen 2004: the new Compact versions of the proven auxiliary headlamps Luminator and Rallye 3000, new design combination rear lamps for the Renault Scenic and Opel Zafira, as well as further accessory products.
