Geneva Auto Show 2004: New Skoda Octavia

The motor company Škoda Auto is presenting the first official picture of a new Škoda Octavia car, which is the successor to the popular model of the same name. The all-new Octavia is built on Volkswagen's Golf V platform demonstrating the platform's flexibility in design and dimension.
In terms of design, the Škoda Octavia is a brand-new car using modern technology. The car is 4,572 mm (180 inches) long, 1,769 mm (69.6 inches) wide and 1,462 mm (57.5 inches) high. The basic luggage-compartment capacity amounts to 560 litres (19.7 cubic feet).
1.4 MPI/55 kW and 1.6 MPI/75 kW petrol engines are ready to power the new Škoda Octavia car. 1.6 FSI/85 kW and 2.0 FSI/110 kW direct injection petrol engines will also be available. A range of diesel engines includes two modern fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines: 1.9 TDI-PD/77 kW and 2.0 TDI-PD/103 kW.
The new Škoda Octavia will make its first public appearance at this year’s edition of the Geneva International Motor Show.
