VWVortex.com Aftermarket & Industry News Willow Grove, PA. (May 1, 2009) - A.W.E. Tuning announces the release of its Second Generation 2.7T Downpipes for the 2000-02 Audi S4, 2000-04 Audi A6 2.7T and 2000-03 Audi Allroad 2.7T.
Due to the Aeroquip ball and socket joints, the first generation downpipes were very expensive and labor intensive to manufacture. The use of high quality lined flex joints has eliminated the need for the Aeroquip units, allowing A.W.E. to dramatically reduce the cost and time needed to produce these downpipes. The highlights of the first generation design, smooth transitions and flow geometry, were maintained while the money saved in build costs has been passed on to the consumer. Also Test Pipes, once a $100 option, are now included with the purchase of each pair of 2.7T Downpipes. Features of the A.W.E.
