Event Coverage: Wustefest 2010 Share Comments Always boasting one of the better locales for a Volkswagen show, Wüstefest suffered a but from it’s Las Vegas locale in 2010. With excessive heat warnings bearing down on Sin City, you’d think that fourth iteration of the show would suffer from attendance issues. Nothing could have been further from the truth, however, with more than 900 cars showing up this year despite the heat, and many advisories against it coming from the National Weather Service. The three-day event, which took place at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino, saw a cruise to Mt Charleston, a show and shine competition, and an air-ride contest. Most of the events took place actually in the parking garage of the casino, meaning there was no hassle for getting out of the show grounds after the event was over, as everyone just retired to their rooms within the hotel, leaving the car exactly where it had been all day long. Joel Parker was on the scene, camera in hand, and took some great photography of the event, all of which can be seen in the gallery below.
