Ten Best of Waterfest 2014- MK1 Share Comments Thread (17) Waterfest 2014 may have already come and gone, but it is still front and center in our minds. With nearly 1700 shutter actuations, we realize that it can be a bit overwhelming to go through all of our galleries. Keeping that in mind, we will be assembling our ten favorite cars from each of our Waterfest sub-galleries throughout the week. Let’s keep it going with the first generation Rabbit, Jetta and Cabrio. We’ll kick things off with this Caddy, found in the Bag Riders booth with air suspension, flared arches and Rotiform wheels. Next up, this Cabrio was seen on the show field with air suspension, shaved side markers and door handles, and BBS RS wheels. We spotted this Jetta Coupe in exhibition, and loved its rally-style auxiliary lights, hood vents and ride height. This GTI was on the snowfield with fifteen52 Snowflake wheels, purposeful ride height, big duckbill front spoiler and color-matched roll cage. Seen in the vendor area, this Caddy was incredibly sharp with its Gold accents, great ride height, and friendly dog hanging out in the bed. This GTI looked great with a number of period-correct modifications and wide flares. This MK1 drag car had a crowd around it all weekend, making it extremely difficult to shoot. We particularly liked the air intake setup. With a color matched roll cage, air suspension and MK4 R32 engine swap, this Rabbit stopped everyone in their tracks. It was one of the most well done cars in attendance. Also in the running for best car in attendance was this GTI, with air suspension, a VR6 swap and BBS RS wheels. Finally, this GTI was seen on the show field with wide flares, a small duckbill, and ATS Cup wheels. So how did we do? Let us know in the comments below.
