Q: How long have you owned this car?

A: I have had it since 1999, so that would make it 5 years.

Q: Is there anything unique about the history of this car?

A: Nothing unique, really – I mean it didn’t belong to a mobster or anything.

Q: What was your objective with this car?

A: My goal was to add some performance and upgrade its aging looks (although it is a car that ages very well).

Q: What tuning style would you describe this car as?

A: Definitely Euro.

Q: Who helped you build this car?

A: I built it myself. I come up with some ideas, including some that were original ideas and have never been tried before – that’s the fun part.

Q: What makes your car special?

A: I guess originality – almost every mod in the aesthetic department is original. I tend to not do what has been done before. Some of my more original ideas would be the following:

– Audi TT shifter

– Audi TT inner door handles

– Custom door sills

– Custom ebrake handle

– Custom side skirts (modified from the projektzwo Golf 3 skirts)

– Audi A4 headlights made from scratch to fit the Corrado

– BMW M5 bumper molded onto the stock bumper to create a hybrid bumper

– Audi-style reverse glow white gauges made by hand

Q: What is your favorite part/feature/function?

A: This is hard to say. Maybe my favorite mod is the headlights, though I possibly like the gauges and bumper just as much.

Q: Who or what inspired the direction of modifications on this car?

A: The inspiration came from seeing other cars and my desire to make a 10-year old car look a lot younger then it is.

Q: What don’t you like about this car?

A: Nothing – it’s a great car to drive and pretty reliable, too.

Q: What would you change if you could?

A: I’d add some nice deep dish wheels if money was not an issue.

Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the outcome of this project?

A: A “10.”

Q: What would you do to the car if money were no object?

A: I would gold plate the exhaust. Just kidding. Maybe I’d turbo it, but I don’t think I’d like the drivability of a turbo. The engine is going to be increased to 3.1 liters in a few weeks. If anything, maybe a supercharger suits my needs better.

Q: Who has been your biggest critic of this project?

A: Myself.

Q: What do your family and friends say about this car?

A: I think they like it.

Q: What is your favorite place to drive this car?

A: It would be around the nice scenic streets of Niagra on the Lake. There are some beautiful roads there between the town and Niagra Falls.

Q: What is your ideal day with this car?

A: Look at it. Clean it. Drive it as much as possible.

Q: Who gets to drive this car?

A: Just me, and some friends if they’re nice.

Q: If your car had a motto, what would it be?

A: Try to do something different – be creative.

Q: If you had to name your car, what would you name it?

A: It’s called the Rado TT due to some of the Audi TT influences I’ve incorporated. That was a long time ago, though – now it’s got more influences. Maybe I’ll name it “muTT.”

Q: What was your previous project?

A: I didn’t have one.

Q: What is your next project?

A: I intend to finish the engine modifications, then retire.
