Not really, bought it looking terrible and saved it. What drew you to this specific car? The love of mk3 jetta’s. What other cars did you consider? Mk4 GTI. What was your objective with this car? Euro, clean, unique. What tuning style would you describe this car as? European style. Who helped you build this car? A bunch of dudes, Cory Sterling was a big help, the dude that welded the bay, my boss Bob Gade helped with the motor, most of the work was done myself. What makes your car special? Its not really special to me other than the fact that its mine. What is your favorite part/feature/function? I dig the interior and motor. Who or what inspired the direction of modifications on this car? Well funny story, originally I was going to keep a stock motor, I was pulling the motor out and the legs fell out of the cherry picker cracked open the transmission. So then decided to build a motor at that point. Various vortex user’s cars were an inspiration. What don’t you like about this car? The suspension. What was your biggest obstacle in building this car? Money. How did you overcome the issue? Worked alot. What would you change if you could? The suspension, and I am going to. On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the outcome of this project? 7. What would you do to the car if money were no object? 24k gold plate the RS’s, 2.5 swap, and bags. Who has been your biggest critic of this project? My friend Rich (Mortican) and myself. What do your family and friends say about this car? Friends dig it, family says its too loud. What is your most memorable/humorous/embarrassing moment with this car? JB welding my shaved bay then painting it poop brown. What is your favorite story about this car? It made it to h20 and back. Has this car competed in any events? Waterfest and H20 so far. What is your favorite place to drive this car? I almost never drive it so don’t have a place. What is your ideal day with this car? Cruising on the highway. Who gets to drive this car? Me and no one else. If your car had a motto, what would it be? Not sure. If you had to name your car, what would you name it? I can’t think of a good name for it. What was your previous project? This is my first project car. What is your next project? I would like to get a 4 door mk1, I have a mk5 jetta thats next, I already bagged it. What one word best describes your car? Hell. Any regrets? Tell us about it.
