2014 Worthersee Day 5 Si Gray Audi 381 1

Worthersee 2014′s 10 Best- Volkswagen Golf 1 / Jetta 1 Builds

Worthersee 2014 was one for the recordbooks.  Coming in at roughly six times larger than Waterfest, there was plenty to see and do around the lakeside town of Reifnitz during the roughly two week invasion of cars manufactured by the Volkswagen Group.  To streamline things a bit, we have gone through our nearly two thousand photos to bring you the best of the best.

Without further adieu, here are the ten best A1 Chassis Volkswagens in attendance in no particular order.

2014 Worthersee Day 10 Si Gray 363 1 600x375

On day ten, Si Gray spotted this Alpine Green Golf, complete with a 1.8T swap and reverse-mounted BBS RS wheels.

2014 Worthersee Day 5 Si Gray Audi 381 600x375

This Chrome Yellow Golf was seen by Si Gray on his 5th day in Reifnitz, looking extremely clean and simple with eye catching reverse-mounted BBS E51 wheels.

Parked at the world’s most famous eni petrol station on day two, this Caddy looked very clean in Frost Blue Metallic with a simple drop, BBS RS wheels and mono wiper conversion.

Seen cruising around Reifnitz on day 14 by our own George Achorn, this Mk1 was painted in what appeared to him as Nimbus Grey with reverse-mounted (noticing a theme here?) BBS wheels, carbon fiber duckbill spoiler, carbon fiber bumper end caps, pop out rear windows and a full roll cage.

Undoubtedly one of the most insane Mk1s in attendance, this 16-valve Turbo features a carbon fiber fade front end (we assume it is a wrap but could be wrong) fully gutted interior with carbon fiber door cards, sequential shifter.

This Cabby was a mash-up of OEM Volkswagen bits like a Mk1 Jetta headlights and grille, Mk2 bumper and Corrado side markers.  It’s not only different, it was well executed too.

Spotted by Si Gray on day 10, this Jetta was extremely cool with its vintage Porsche-inspired side stripe, gloss black bumpers and exposed oil cooler.

Seen on day 4 by Si Gray hanging out by the eni station, this Mk1 sported the motorsport theme with a Berg Cup-inspired bodykit, meaty tires and a Sparco race seats.

With reverse mounted BBS RS wheels and finished in a Etienne Aigner Edition-inspired maroon color (it may have been a real Etienne Aigner Edition), this Cabrio looked stunning.

Finally, our man George Achorn spotted this Mk1 on Schmidt TH-Lines with a gutted interior and fully polished 8 Valve motor.
