Monaco 06th June… The British spirit is very much in evidence these days in the sun-dressed streets and avenues of the Principality of Monaco on the Riviera coast. Bentley Motors and the Bentley dealership of Monaco have joined the Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo to celebrate the flair of Britain from early April until June 12, which culminated in an exclusive soiree featuring all participants on June 5.
A wave of warm and bright orange and rose hues, inspired by world famous English fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood, highlight the spaces of the elegant hotel, including the lavish place settings in the restaurant Joel Robuchon and magnificent tulip arrangements that have been placed in all the public areas of the Metropole. True to the general theme “My Metropole is so british”, the hotel is dressed in cheerful two-tone stripes and classic bowler hats.
This homage to all things english and wonderful would not have been possible without the collaboration of several hallmark companies that represent that certain british notion of luxury wedded to style, craft and art: Harrods, ESPA, Christie´s and Bentley.
“So british” obviously includes driving in style, hence Bentley Motors and Bentley Monaco have for the duration of the event offered the guests of the hotel the services of a Bentley Boy and a Bentley Continental GTC. As an ambassador of the marque and its grand racing tradition the Bentley Boy, like his dashing forebears, is dressed in a twenties-style racing overall. For those clients wishing for an even deeper immersion into the Bentley world, the hotel together with the carmaker has arranged day trips to the factory in Crewe, by private plane.
“My Metropole is so british” is the third in a series of artistic events that the Metropole Monte Carlo has hosted this year. It will culminate in a “so British” gala evening on June 5, bringing together all participants. During this exclusive soiree representatives from Bentley will present the special world of the winged “B”, featuring as well the Continental GTC, which has been available for exclusive test drives during the whole “so British” period . As a remembrance of this evening each guest will receive a gift from Bentley. Another highlight of the “so British” soiree will be the preview of the new James Bond book – a limited edition designed especially by Bentley to commemorate that other most british icon.
