Customizing vintage Beetles is nothing new in the Volkswagen enthusiast community.  Of late, it seems that many maintain the patina that they have rightfully earned while being impossibly low.  While there is certainly nothing wrong with that, this author would prefer one that has been thoroughly rest-modded like this Grabber Blue example.

Found at AutoBarn Classic Cars in Concord, NC through Hemmings Classifieds, this 1966 Beetle Convertible appears to have been seen gone over from top to bottom.  After receiving a rotisserie restoration with the suspension bits and steering rack getting replaced, a 1600cc motor and aftermarket exhaust were installed,  the car was lowered and Porsche Fuchs Wheels were installed.
