Full disclosure- I love the MK4 Golf Variant.  Naturally, it was never sold here but that has not stopped some from working to recreate the car.  Whether it be from a crashed Golf, or from being on one end of a Jolf conversion, there is no wrong way to convert a MK4 Jetta Wagon into a Golf Variant.

This example takes the concept a bit further by utilizing 20th Anniversary GTI Interior trim and GLI Seats to make a sort-of 20th Anniversary Golf Variant.  The theme is carried through to the exterior as well with a 20th front valence and GLI side skirts, larger front and rear brake rotors and Privat BBS LM-look wheels wearing BBS center caps.

Under the hood, the Variant's 1.8T has been massaged a bit with a K04 Turbo, 3" Downpipe, and Techtonics 2.5" Exhaust.  The seller claims that all gaskets, spark plugs, coil packs and the timing belt have been replaced.  Once all the work was completed, the bay received a full wire tuck and was shaved.

Now for the bad- the car has a rebuilt title.  While the seller claims that everything has been repaired and you would never be able to tell that the car was damaged, we highly suggest getting everything checked before moving forward with a potential purchase.  At $8,000, we definitely think it's worth a second look.
