Since the Volkswagen Corrado was introduced in the late 1980s, it has been held in high regard by enthusiasts and journalists alike, making many future classic and must drive lists. The cars are not exactly rare with nearly 100,000 having been produced, but finding a clean example can prove to be difficult. With that said, today’s Find of the Day just may be the cleanest example without major modifications to come up for sale in quite some time.
Originally a California car that has since relocated to New York, this Volkswagen Corrado has just 39k original miles and is in phenomenal condition inside and out. Aside from some very minor blemishes like cracked fog light covers and a few stone chips, the car looks like it could have just left the dealer. A previous owner installed Bilstein struts, Sport Springs, Neuspeed Strut Brace, an Alpine cd player and red plug wires, but aside from that the car is largely unmolested. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the car (aside from mileage) is the lack of seat wear.
Those interested in the Corrado should expect to pay top dollar for the car as it is currently for sale on eBay with a reserve price of $16,900. While the initial price may be a bit optimistic, we don’t doubt that the investment will pay off in the long run.
