Recently Volkswagen released the newest equpiment package for Golf and Bora models for the European market. Wearing the “GT Sport” moniker, the cars are similar to past “Sport Edition” models, these new cars feature plenty of equipment unique to the range.
Inside, sport-oriented interiors feature silver stitching like the R32, silver trim rings around instruments and unique aluminum mesh interior trim.
On the outside, the cars are most easily recognized by their new 17-inch “Evolo” wheels with 5-spoke design.
Electronic content in the cars is high, including an alarm, multi-function display in instrument cluster (MFA), rain sensing windshield wipers, auto dimming mirrors, Climatronic automatic climate control and more.
Equipment from the older “Sport Edition” models found its way into North American Jettas and Golfs fitted with Volkswagen of America’s own sport package option. Whether or not any of the equipment from the new “GT Sport” models will show up in North American cars has yet to be confirmed.
