Boston, Massachusetts (February 18, 2005) – Robert Redford kicked off the signing of the commemorative 2005 Sundance Film Festival new Jetta on Thursday, January 20, that included dozens of filmmakers and artists who participated in this year’s event. The one-of-a-kind hood of the all-new Jetta – complete with the 80 autographs listed below from Hollywood and independent film stars alike – will be auctioned on eBay at the end of February to the highest bidder. As the official vehicle of the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and one of three presenting sponsors, Volkswagen of America, Inc. experienced massive exposure at the Festival, which took place January 20-30 in Park City, UT.

The Sundance Institute was founded by Robert Redford in 1981. Since its inception, the Institute has grown into an internationally recognized resource for filmmakers and other artists. Sundance Institute conducts national and international labs for filmmakers, screenwriters, composers, writers, and theatre artists. The annual Sundance Film Festival, a major program of Sundance Institute, is held each January and is considered the premier showcase for American and international independent film.
