Volkswagen Golf 7 Accessories

Wolfsburg / Paris, 27 September 2012 – For the new Golf, Volkswagen Accessories is presenting – along with the basic assortment of bootspace systems, cargo solutions and communication products – a large number of exciting accessory highlights. The original accessories for the bestseller can look flexible, ingenious, customised or sporty – entirely according to the individual needs and wishes of its owner. The Golf Lifestyle Collection complements perfectly the new Volkswagen with its colours, design and variety of products. Along with style-conscious clothing articles, the collection also contains practical and decorative accessories, outdoor items, bags and a Golf watch.

Various aerodynamic components give the Golf an even more powerful and dynamic look and contribute to sporty driving responses. The front spoiler for the new Golf promises reduced lift at the front axle and optimised aerodynamic properties. The air inlet in the middle also visually underscores the car’s sporting appeal. A rear apron and roof edge spoiler emphasise the Golf’s already remarkable character and sporty overall appearance.

The side sills give the car an even more dynamic look, making the car appear to sit lower to the ground. A guard strip for the tailgate in chrome look and the tapered tailpipe trim in black/chrome impressively accentuate the car’s styling as well.

The new 18-inch “Rotary” alloy wheels with their 12-spoke design and Anthracite colour also contribute to a more dynamic exterior appearance. The distinctive 17-inch dual-spoke “Blade” alloy wheels with their machine-polished surfaces satisfy wishes for innovative styling. For maximum music enjoyment in the Golf, Volkswagen Accessories has developed a plug-and-play sound system. The system consists of an amplifier with an integrated digital sound processor, a total sinusoidal output power of 300 Watt (480 Watt audio output) and a powerful subwoofer. Along with optimal sound quality, the system also impresses with vehicle-specific and driver-specific sound setups, which are tuned to individual vehicle features. Except for the additional subwoofer, the system utilises existing vehicle loudspeakers and can be quickly installed in the spare wheel well by plug-and-play.

Developers at Volkswagen Accessories have come up with an especially practical and innovative solution for transporting bicycles with the Golf: the folding “Micro II” bicycle carrier which fits in the spare wheel well. If two bicycles need to be packed for a day trip or vacation, the driver simply removes the folding bicycle carrier from the spare wheel well, opens it and mounts it onto the car’s towbar with a quick connect fitting. The folding mechanism enables trouble-free opening of the tailgate, even with bicycles mounted, and an anti-theft feature protects the transported goods. When it is not being used, the bicycle carrier can simply be folded down and stowed back in the spare wheel well.
