Volkswagen Group of America has appointed Scott C. Vazin as the Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group Communications. Vazin is a veteran of the automotive industry, spending 15 years at Nissan, and the last three years with Volkswagen as the Vice President of Communications for the Volkswagen Brand.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGoA) today announced the appointment of Scott C. Vazin as Executive Vice President, Volkswagen Group Communications. In this role, Vazin will be responsible for all aspects of corporate communications for the Volkswagen Group and Volkswagen Brand. This includes corporate media relations, product communications, all public relations campaigns, internal communications, community partnerships and philanthropy.
Vazin, 47, joined the company in March 2011 as the Vice President of Communications for the Volkswagen Brand. He will continue to report to Michael Horn, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. Vazin most recently served as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Volkswagen of America.
“Strengthening our Group communications team is critical to achieving our long-term growth goals in the U.S. market,” said Horn. “Scott brings a wealth of automotive and leadership experience, and will continue to contribute to the strategic and operational oversight of our Group and Brand communications.”
Prior to joining Volkswagen, Vazin spent 15 years with Nissan in numerous communications roles. Vazin started his automotive career at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America in California in 1990.
Vazin received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Marketing at California State University at Long Beach.
