If you were at Waterfest this year, you already know that the Volkswagen booth had a special treat on display. For those who couldn’t make it out, this treat was in the form of a brand new 2011 Jetta, not even on sale for another few months, already fitted with some parts from the Volkswagen Accessories catalog. Those parts, seen on a brand new white Jetta, consist of a new body kit — including a new front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper — a lip spoiler on the trunk, and black wheels.
We here at VWvortex think that the body kit adds quite a bit to the look of the new Jetta. There’s definitely some Audi lineage showing in the design of the car, especially in the taillights. We also really like the fact that this means there are some die-hard enthusiasts within Volkswagen of America, envisioning what direction people like you, our readers, might take their latest creation.
As we speak, the media is on their first drive of the new car. We of course have a man on the scene, taking pictures and forming opinions. Keep an eye out here for those impressions a little bit later, or hop on over to our Facebook page for some live images straight from the event.
