We’ve all been on the highway when a massive truck decides that 32 nano meters would be appropriate distance to follow us from. Well, Jari-Matti Latvala just had a similar experience on a section of the Finnish rally stage.

Fortunately for the World Rally Championship driver’s ego, the truck that was following him wasn’t just any old 18-wheeler. It was a KamAZ 4326 Dakar truck that has nearly 1,000 hp, which  dwarfs the Polo R WRC’s 318 hp.

Watching the little Polo ahead of the truck is surprisingly nerve racking, given the size differential, but no truck that size has ever been so nimble and elegant. The Polo has never looked smaller, on the other hand.

Enjoy the speedy, jumpy, hooning madness and feel your Monday improve with every frame.
