B&B Automobiletechnik Boosts European Passat Bi-TDI Performance Share Comments The all-new European Passat is a pretty interesting proposition for tuners and owners alike, available with a Bi-TDI producing 240hp and nearly 400 lb-ft of torque directly from the showroom floor. German tuning firm B&B Automobiltechnik has decided that this just isn’t quite enough power, and set their sites on extracting a bit extra power from the full size wagon. After more than a few rounds of tweaking, the company was able to increase output by 60hp and nearly 100 lb-ft of torque, bringing total output to 300hp and a massive 464 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a lower ride height from a stiffer suspension and lightweight 19″ wheels, B&B claims the package is good for nearly a second off of the Passat’s already impressive 6.3 second sprint to 60. For those who aren’t quite ready to deal with that much power and the frequent tire replacements that come with, B&B also offers their software in a more conservative tune, resulting in 275hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.
