Although typically a Ford tuner, Mountune is now teaming up with Fifteen52 to expand into Volkswagens. The union of these two companies will, therefore, be called: M52 .

“It is an exciting chapter in our history,” said Mountune and M52 director Alec Pell-Johnson. “We are building a new brand for a group of automotive enthusiasts that are equally dedicated and passionate.”

Launching in the UK and the US, M52 will offer upgrades for the Mk7(.5) GTI and Golf R. As of right now, induction systems and stage 1 tunes are available as is transmission calibration on DSG-equipped models and more. There's more to come, though, according to Ken Anderson, President of Mountune USA.

"Our plans are to expand the product line along the lines of our Ford lineup and include such things as turbo kits, built engines, along with a wide range of upgrades," said Anderson.

Mountune has been tuning Fords for more than a decade and has specifically indicated that M52 is an expansion of its offerings, not an indication that it will stop working on Fords.

“The opportunity to work with fifteen52 and build a distinct, new brand was an opportunity to jump at," said Pell-Johnson. "We are one of the very few tuners that have ever been OEM-approved to modify vehicles within warranty – it is this level of dedication and expertise that we are bringing to m52 and VAG models.”
