Ten Best of Waterfest 2014- MK2

Waterfest 2014 may have already come and gone, but it is still front and center in our minds. With nearly 1700 shutter actuations, we realize that it can be a bit overwhelming to go through all of our galleries. Keeping that in mind, we will be assembling our ten favorite cars from each of our Waterfest sub-galleries throughout the week. Let’s keep it going with the second generation Golf and Jetta.

Spotted in exhibition on Sunday, this 24 Valve VR6 swapped MK2 looked great with Porsche Design 90 wheels, and big flares.  This belonged in the show field.

Over in the show field, this MK2 Jetta was clean and well-executed causing many to stop and take notice.

This has been featured in many of our Event Reports- and for good reason.  This extremely clean MK2 Jetta Coupe looks great and features a very impressive turbocharger install on its VR6.

Sometimes less is more, and this Montana Green GTI followed that theme nicely with its purposeful ride height and retro fifteen52 Snowflake wheels.

Continuing with the less is more theme, this Red Golf looked incredible with Corrado Steelies and a nice drop.

Wearing BBS RS-look wheels with gold centers and big flares, this GTI looked great.

This Jetta Coupe was nicely done inside and out, easily making it hold our attention.

This GTI looked very similar to the one above, but pulled it off well with BBS RS-style wheels, big flares and a badgeless grille.

The Jetta Coupe looks great, and this example was no exception with its aggressive ride height and wheel fitment.

Last but not least, this MK2 GTI looked great with air suspension while retaining the ‘motorsport’ look through uses of carbon fiber and an adjustable front splitter.
