Chris Harris to Race with Bentley in Blancpain Series Share Comments YouTuber and co-host of the not-at-all-doomed new, new Top Gear Chris Harris will be racing in the Blancpain Endurance Series this season. Harris will be racing a Bentley Continental GT3 for Bentley Team Parker Racing in the Am class. There, he will be one of four Bentleys racing in the five round series. “This is a bit of a pinch yourself moment,” says Harris. “If, last year, you’d asked me what my dream 2016 race season would be it would have involved a Bentley Continental GT3, Stuart Parker and my good friend and long-time team mate Chris Cooper. And now it’s happened!” Harris will be among the 57 cars and 171 drivers entered into the first round of the Am class series, starting this weekend at the famous Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy. The Top Gear host is no stranger to GT3 race cars, having driven the Audi R8 LMS Ultra Race Car and raced at a number of endurance events. Harris is also a seasoned historical racer, regularly participating in Goodwood Revival races. The Bentley Continental GT3, meanwhile has been performing surprisingly well in its first season of Blancpain GT Series racing. “It’s great to have Chris driving with Bentley this season,” says Bentley’s Director of Motorsport Brian Gush. “He’s a very experienced and accomplished driver and has impressed the team in his recent test sessions. We have entries in all three of the Blancpain Endurance Series Cup classes, all of which have a good chance of winning.” And since any excuse is good enough, you can watch Harris review the GTI below.
