Mk1 Golf GTI Kit Submitted to LEGO Ideas Website Share Comments We’ll be honest, we’ve always found Legos fascinating. Rendering our favorite cars in LEGOs is even more intriguing and we’ve previously run stories on fan builds of cars like the Audi R18 on our sister site Fourtitude. Some of these fan builds have found a home on LEGO’s Ideas website, a page dedicated to crowdsourcing ideas for new LEGO kits. One such kit from the LEGO Ideas site is this Mk1 Golf GTI. Built with the stance scene in mind, this Golf is pretty much as close as one could get to the real thing when using square plastic bricks. Featuring the ever popular single round conversion paired with later tail lights, the kit comes complete with a big duckbill spoiler, roll cage, center exit exhaust and a turbocharger. It’s quite clear that whoever built this model has a keen eye for detail and some free time on their hands. At the moment, the Mk1 GTI kit has 354 of the required 10,000 supporters for LEGO to officially comment on it. To put your support behind the kit, head over to the LEGO Ideas website right here.
