Find of the Day: White Wedding GTI Share Comments Previous ImageNext ImagePreviousNextView Large As car enthusiasts, we’ve all heard an anecdote or two around low mile cars. Things like “It was only driven on Sunday” or “A little old lady just used it to run errands” seem to lead the reasons why a car was barely driven. This 2006 GTI is a different story. It’s…pure as the driven snow, if you catch my drift. And I’m not talking about its color. Taking a look back, when VW revealed the Mk5 GTI for the 2006 model year, it brought the nameplate back to its roots. While the Mk3 and Mk4 GTIs strayed a bit from the winning formula of the Mk1 and Mk2 models, the fifth edition brought all that back. It even marked the return of the red stripe grille. Magazines and websites the world over regaled it with praise. This all-new model was equal parts fun, function, and finesse. It quickly earned top spots in performance shootouts and ‘must buy’ lists. This particular 2006 GTI may very well be the most pristine example on the market. To start, it only has 29,000 miles on the clock. Some people put more miles on their car in a year. The GTI is virtually stock; a lowered suspension, some euro-bits, and BBS wheels are the only add-ons. The owner never even chip-tuned the car. The original (and flawless, according to the seller, whom we’re inclined to believe) Hufeisen wheels come with the car. As you can see by the photos, the exterior is immaculate. The interior looks straight out of a sales brochure. The seats and steering wheel show no wear and even have the original matte leather finish. The dash, doors, and even the carpet are perfect. It is…unsullied. To add to this undefiled auto’s interesting history, the passenger seat has only been sat in four times, two of which were on the owner’s wedding day. The approved posterior for that important day was, thank goodness, his new wife. This car has never even been out in the rain and has lived its life in a garage under a cover. So if you’re looking for a car to add to your immaculate collection (wink), this may be the one for you. Of course, you’ll need to decide whether to keep this virginal ride intact, or take it out, show it off, and give it the drive of its life. The seller, VWVortex member Estate, is asking $11,000 in Portland Oregon. You can read more on the car in our classifieds section.
