Find of the Day: 2002 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S Share Comments Based on how long you’ve been in ‘the scene’, chances are that you’ve seen this Beetle Turbo S in person. Originally constructed back in the late 2000s, the owner set out to construct a Beetle in the way that RUF Automobile GmbH would, had they been given the opportunity. The result was something wild, yet extremely subtle. And that’s why it is our Find of the Day. On the outside, the “RUF BUG” has seen a large amount of RUF-inspired touches, including genuine RUF wheels, brakes and badges. The theme is carried through to the interior as well, with custom Recaro Sportster CS seats a RUF steering wheel and shift knob, billet aluminum grab handles, mirror controls, HVAC knobs and more. And because a true RUF car is hardly just an aesthetic exercise, the Turbo S has been flashed with APR software along with other mods designed to make the most of the Beetle’s 1.8T, as well as aftermarket suspension bits to help in the bends. The RUF Beetle Turbo S is currently for sale on Jacksonville, Florida’s Craigslist for $33,780. Additional images and information on the car can be found right here.
