Forza Horizon 4 Takes Open World Racing to Britain

Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 4 at E3 2018.

Launching worldwide on October 2, 2018 on Xbox One, Windows 10, and Xbox Game Pass, Forza Horizon 4 will have virtual racers experiencing historic Britain spectacular native 4K and HDR. One of the major new features heading to Forza Horizon 4 is dynamic seasons that change every week. With each season, the open-world map will actually transform, opening access to certain areas that were previously inaccessible due to certain weather conditions.

The game will feature over 450 cars and promises more choice and customization than ever before.

Like previous games in the Forza Horizon franchise, the latest installment focuses on an open-world experience with two new fan-requested features. First, there’s a brand new Route Creator that lets players design and share their own custom race routes anywhere in the open world, as well as the option to play at 60 fps for players on Xbox One X.

Players will also have the ability to own property that unlocks new items and gameplay perks, a first for the franchise.

None other than the McLaren Senna will serve as the cover car for Forza Horizon 4, continuing the game’s partnership with McLaren. A 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 will also be showcased on the cover, paying tribute to the British icon.

The trailer also features a Lamborghini Centenario, a Bugatti Chiron, a Dune Buggy that appears to be based on one that VW actually owns, and an Audi Quattro S1, among other off-road and all-weather cars.
