The Jetta GLI Starts at $26,890

Volkswagen has officially released pricing and trim info for the Jetta GLI. Prices start at $26,890 ($895 delivery included) for the base GLI S; the GLI 35th Anniversary Edition, meanwhile, starts at $27,890, and the GLI Autobahn starts at $30,085.

While the GLI 35th Anniversary Edition isn’t the most expensive GLI, it is the only one offered with Volkswagen’s DCC adaptive dampers. That means that not only does it come with Normal, Sport, Eco, and Custom modes, but it also comes with a Comfort mode.

It also comes standard with a six-speed manual, 18-inch dark grey aluminum wheels (with red rim accent), and 35th Anniversary badging all around. Fitted with a seven-speed DSG it starts at $28,690.

The GLI S, meanwhile, also comes standard with the six-speed manual and a 0.6-inch lower sport suspension. LED projectors and DRLs, as well as 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are also standard.

As per Volkswagen, other equipment includes:

black honeycomb grille with red accent line; side mirrors with integrated turn signals; rear spoiler; rear bumper with finned diffusor and dual chrome exhaust tips; leather-wrapped multi-function sport steering wheel and shift knob with red stitching; black roof liner; stainless steel pedal caps; Comfort sport cloth seats with red stitching and grey piping; heated front seats; 10-color customizable wrap-around ambient lighting; KESSY® keyless access with push-button start; dual-zone Climatronic® automatic climate control; rearview camera; automatic headlights; rain-sensing wipers; auto-dimming rearview mirror; electric parking brake; and 6.5-inch Composition Color touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth® connectivity for compatible devices, one USB port, six speakers, and App-Connect for compatible devices, enabling integration with the three major smartphone platforms—Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™ and MirrorLink®. Standard driver-assistance features include Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert.

If you opt for the seven-speed DSG, prices start at $28,690.

Finally, the GLI Autobahn trim builds on all of that and also comes standard with the six-speed manual (praise), but adds a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital cockpit, a 400-watt, 8-speaker BeatsAudio system, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, voice-control, and two USB ports.

Prices bump up to $30,890 (delivery included), if you opt for the seven-speed DSG.
