2020 Atlas Cross Sport Actually Cheaper Than Atlas

Volkswagen has just revealed pricing for the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport, and in what is definitely a surprise in a market where style usually costs more, the Cross Sport will start for significantly less than the standard Atlas.

The lineup begins with the base S FWD model, sporting a 235 hp 2.0L turbo four. The S starts from $30,545, making it $1,000 less than the standard Atlas. Adding all-wheel drive brings the Cross Sport to $32,445. Like the standard Atlas, the Cross Sport, which sacrifices a little bit of rear cargo space for a sleeker roofline, will come in S, SE, SE, SEL, and SEL Premium, with Technology packs available and R-Line trim offered on SE, SEL, and SEL Premium.

SE adds 18-inch alloys, Kessy keyless access, heated side mirrors, faux-leather seats with heat for both front and power for the driver. SE with Technology gets 20’s, an easy-open tailgate, remote start, and parking sensors plus adaptive cruise. SEL adds LED adaptive headlights, chrome trim, a heated wheel, a power passenger seat, and digital cockpit display, plus lane assist, light assist, and road sign display. SEL Premium gets power folding mirrors, leather seats with ventilation up front, and a Fender audio system. R-Line adds special 21-inch wheels, black trim, and R-Line badges. All trims below SEL Premium are front-drive or all-wheel drive, with SEL Premium getting standard 4Motion. AWD can be added with both engines across the line for $1,900.
