There are Already Deals to be Had on the Arteon

If you were worried that the new Volkswagen Arteon four-door coupe would be too hot this summer to find a good deal, we might have some good news. It looks like the long-delayed model is getting some old fashioned green promotion.

By that we mean incentives. Cash on the hood. And low finance rates. CarsDirect is reporting that Volkswagen is offering a national dealer cash incentive of $2,500. Now that’s not an advertised offer, and it is up to dealers if they want to pass it along to buyers, but there’s a good chance that they will.

That’s not the only deal on the much-delayed sporty Arteon, though. The report also has deals for buyers who are planning to finance through VW Credit. That’s a $2,000 dealer bonus. It can be combined with 2.9 percent financing for up to 60 months. That means that buyers taking the finance option could save around $1,500 more than buyers taking the $2,500 cash discounts.

Leasing doesn’t come with the same cash incentives, but it is getting a money factor of 0.00005. That’s the equivalent of getting 0.1 percent APR leasing. Which isn’t free, but it’s pretty darned close.

So if you’re looking for the hot-looking Arteon this summer now that it’s finally arriving at dealers, you might find that shopping around can get you some cool deals.
