Check Out the ID.4’s “Sophisticated” Interior Share Comments Volkswagen has released another teaser of the ID.4. This time, it’s showing off the crossover’s interior. “The interior of the ID.4 is dominated by calm, sophisticated colors called Lunar Grey and Galaxy Black,” writes VW. “The steering wheel, steering column, the housings of the display and control panels in the doors come in trendy Piano Black or modern Electric White.” The interior is dominated by absences. Without a gear selector or a traditional button section for HVAC or media controls, the interior has a minimalism to it. With touch-sensitive controls strewn about the cabin, though, you will be able to control much without the use of the screen. “Freedom on the outside, free space on the inside,” says Klaus Zyclora, VW’s head of design. “The ID.4 brings a new sense of space to its category thanks to the new MEB platform, our modular electric drive matrix.” Volkswagen is also promising a high seating position and 30.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats. That’s roughly the same amount as the Tiguan. Like the Jetta meanwhile, you can pick from a variety of interior lighting colors, depending on your mood. The ID.4 will be fully revealed later this month. As we found out yesterday, VW is aiming at a starting price in the low $30,000s, once government incentives have been taken into account.
