Golf Alltrack Gets NHTSA Five Star Safety Rating Share Comments Coming to showrooms this fall, the Golf Alltrack is already off to a good start. The latest model in the Golf lineup has received the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 5-Star safety rating. “Volkswagen is thrilled that the Golf Alltrack [has] earned the highest 5-star overall crash test rating from the government,” says Joerg Sommer, VP Product Marketing and Strategy, Volkswagen of America. “The Alltrack was already highly anticipated, thanks to the combination of SportWagen design and all-wheel-drive performance, so this rating will add to the vehicle’s appeal and allow us to grow volume in the marketplace.” The Golf Alltrack features now fewer than six airbags along with a number of electronic safety systems. The Alltrack comes standard with ESC, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, and an Intelligent Crash Response System. Drivers can also choose to get Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), Lane Departure Warning, and more. The Golf Alltrack joins the rest of the Golf family, as well as the Passat, Jetta, and Beetle Coupe as 2017 models that have an overall 5-star rating.
