Passat Alltrack Order Books Open in Europe Share Comments All-wheel-rounder combines excellent off-road ability with excellent travel comfort The new generation of the Passat Alltrack can be ordered now. Based on the new Passat Estate, the new Passat Alltrack features an independent off-road look, standard all-wheel drive 4Motion and advanced technologies. The versatile Passat Alltrack is available at a starting price of 38,550 euros. The Passat Alltrack stands out from the standard Passat with uniquely designed bumpers (including under run protection in stainless steel look), robust wheel arches and side sill covers in “Anthracite”. With ground clearance increased by 27.5 millimeters, it is also able to perform in nearly every driving situation flawlessly. Silver anodized roof railing, numerous “alltrack” lettering throughout the interior and on the tailgate, and specific 17-inch alloy wheels (optional 18- and 19-inch wheels) also helps to separate the Alltrack from the standard Passat Variant. At the same time the Passat Alltrack comes with scores of technology: Thanks to the special Offfroad-drive program with appropriately adapted assistance systems, an adapted chassis and the alliance of EDS (Electronic Differential Lock), XDS + and standard all-wheel drive 4Motion, the Alltrack is the perfect all-rounder for an on-road and off-road world. On one hand, it copes with rough terrain thanks to travel profile selection and the optional adaptive chassis control DCC (standard from 162 kW TSI), while offering superior travel comfort. In addition, the Passat Alltrack is an ideal towing vehicle, capable of pulling 2200 kg up a 12% slope. In addition to this technology, the Alltrack has been fitted with a wide range of pioneering driver assistance and infotainment systems. These include, an Active Information Display (fully digital instruments), a head-up display (for projection of information in the driver’s field of vision), Rear Seat Entertainment “Media Control” for tablet computers, Front Assist (lane change assistant), Emergency Assist ( vehicle stop in an emergency), traffic jam assistant, Park Assistant (detects when reversing vehicles leaving a parking space in the cross traffic) and Trailer Assist (for the assisted maneuvering with trailer). Infotainment is also the subject of high priority: Four radio and radio-navigation options are available in the Passat Alltrack that enable a high level of connectivity. The various interfaces include, among others, the integration of smartphones via App Connect. Behind this, applications like “Mirror Link TM”, “Car Play” (Apple) and “Android Auto” (Google) hide, which work with almost all smart phones and include a huge range of integrated apps. A total of four new direct-injection Volkswagen engines are available for the new Passat Alltrack: The powerful turbocharged petrol engine (TSI) provides 162 kW / 220 hp. In the case of the high-torque turbo diesel (TDI) the spectrum starts at 110 kW / 150 hp. The next levels are 140 kW / 190 PS and 176 kW / 240 hp, all of which comply with the Euro 6 emissions standards. A start-stop system and brake energy recovery also come as standard.
