Volkswagen to Premiere Five-Car Event Fleet Share Comments The birds are singing, the trees are budding, and the flowers are blooming, which can only mean one thing: it’s show season. Cars will be gathering in parking lots and fields all over the country, and Volkswagen of America will be in on the action with their new fleet of five show cars. VW will be touring their fleet across the country, starting tomorrow (May 14) with The European Experience in Savannah, Georgia. The cars were inspired by diverse interests of Volkswagen enthusiasts and focus on performance and pure style. They are: A Bali Green Golf 1.8T that sports classic touches, like yellow headlights and golden BBS Super RS wheels. The Golf is also lowered by two inches and has a black stripe along the bottom of the doors. A Jetta GLI that’s perfect for the street or the track. It has 18-inch Neuspeed RSe53 wheels with sticky BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires to keep you glued to the track. Fans of Two Lane Blacktop will also get a frisson, because Volkswagen have designed this Jetta to neatly fit its wheels and tools inside (with the seats folded). A lowrider Passat. This bagged car has an AccuAir E-level TouchPad air management package that was installed by Boden AutoHaus in California. It currently sits on 20-inch forged Vossen LC-106Ts, but Volkswagen will be changing the wheels regularly to highlight all the best looking wheels on offer. A Golf GTI designed for style. This particular GTI is lowered on H&R Street Performance coilovers and wears 20-inch forged LC-103 gloss gold wheels from Vossen. The wheel color is carried over onto the heritage stripes on the GTI’s doors, and again onto the carrier box up top. And finally a Golf R inspired by the Scirocco GT Black Edition. This Golf R will feature a matte black roof wrap and VW Zubehör 19-inch black aluminum-alloy Lugano wheels. These will be wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires and attached to the chassis via H&R Sport Springs that were specifically engineered to accommodate the Golf R’s Dynamic Chassis Control. Keep a look out for these five stunners that will be touring the country’s enthusiast events all summer.
