VW’s Emissions and Quality Teams Get New Digs

The Oxnard Engineering Campus, in Oxnard, California has just finished its expansion and renovations, Volkswagen announced to today. The center is home to Audi Engineering and Volkswagen’s Quality team and supports these brands along with Bentley and Porsche.

The Oxnard campus is focused on powertrain engineering, product development, governmental compliance, and emissions testing. It will also focus on electric vehicle range testing and analysis.

“The next few years are going to be transformative for the Volkswagen Group as we are introducing our first long-range battery electric vehicles,” said Johan de Nysschen, COO Volkswagen Group of America. “The campus has been completely upgraded to further support the successful development, design, and testing of products that will be sold in this market.”

The campus sits on nine acres of land and includes a shipping and receiving area, visitor workshops, office space, and a test lab for emissions testing. It’s the largest facility of its kind in the VW empire outside of Germany.
