Want to See a Leaked Mk8 Golf Picture? Of Course You Do

Although we’re less than ten days away from the official launch of the Mk8 Golf, we’re sure you’d rather see the next Golf now. And here it is.

Posted to a Slovak VW fan Facebook page, the pictures appear to be legitimate. And though there are only two pictures, they give us an idea of what to expect from the next generation.

As we’ve seen in countless spy shots and teaser images, VW is committed to its single-bar grille that runs into the top of the headlights. The bumpers, meanwhile, are typical of Volkswagen’s modern design language.

Inside we see VW’s promised wealth of screens that appear to be growing out of the instrument binnacle now. A new steering wheel—not unlike the new Atlas Cross Sport’s new steering wheel—should make interacting with the infotainment easier.

Best of all, though, is the manual gear selector that gives drivers the option of six, blessedly, manually selected gears.

This appears to be a regular Golf, so, unfortunately, we still don’t know if we’ll get to see anything like this when it launches—Scott Keogh told us again on Friday that no decision had been reached about the American Golf, but the GTI and the R remain confirmed.

We’ll have more to tell you about everything going on in this interior, including the quilted seats, when Volkswagen reveals it on October 24.

And in case you were wondering what the FB post says, here is the text, as translated by Facebook:

Friends, I am honored to introduce a whole new generation of world golf golf in advance… Golf VIII.

Inside you can see a new innovision cockpit in a similar style as the touareg with the ensemble new-onboard plate, which is again even more filmed to the driver. New golf also got a steering wheel and a gearbox warhead from passatu and t-Cross.

Modern, innovative and again about the close “ecological” eight

What do you say about her? Do you like it or not? It will be present in a few days 24.10
