The I IHS has officially given the Volkswagen Jetta a “good” rating after acing its crash tests.

The Jetta got “good” (the highest possible) ratings in small overlap driver and passenger-side crashes, and the same in the moderate overlap test for the front, side, roof, and seats.

The only place it was “marginal” (the second lowest from the bottom), was in its headlights in certain trims--the IIHS is not happy with the R Line's lack of auto high beams nor any Jetta's headlights to failure to follow corners.

The IIHS also rated its child seat anchors as only “acceptable.” But ultimately, the Jetta’s crashes earned it an overall evaluation of “good,” according to the IIHS.
