Watch: More Spy Footage of Performance VWs in St Moritz Share Comments Although the GTI has now been unveiled, there are still a lot of performance models in the works. The Golf R, we know for sure is coming, and the Arteon and Tiguan R could also be around the corner. This video shot in a parking lot seems to show VW winter-testing a series of increasingly camouflaged performance models. Now, of course, we don’t know for sure what these cars are, but the VW employees’ unhappiness at being filmed and all the cammo suggest these aren’t simply base models. The video shows a GTI and what appear to be a Golf R wearing Mk7 body panels, an Arteon R, and potentially a Tiguan R. At the end of the video, an uncamouflaged, though still strangely hooded, Golf R appears to be visible. We’ve shared shots of (we believe) this exact Golf before and it seems to look better on video. The movement of light serves to highlight the aggressive touches better and the blue grille bar really pops. That blue grille bar is a bit of a problem, though, since it appears to be the same one used on the GTE. Mind you, what other color would R use? Sadly we’re will (reportedly) have to wait until summer to find out exactly what the Gold R is like when it’s revealed at Goodwood.
