Volkswagen to Unveil the ID.4 in New York Share Comments America’s first MEB-based, fully electric Volkswagen will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April, according to a report from Autocar. Based on the ID. Crozz concept, the ID.4 will be a crossover that is roughly the size of the Tiguan. The ID.4 isn’t just important to the US market because it will be our first, it will also be built in Chattanooga, unlike the ID.3 hatchback. The concept was first shown off in 2017 and over the years has been updated periodically. The latest update, Volkswagen promises, really does preview what the ID.4 will look like in production guise. And we have little reason to doubt them since the ID.3 pretty much looks like the I.D. concept. The Crozz is said to be capable of 111 mph and we know that the ID.3 is capable of going 346 miles on a charge. Volkswagen also said it would be able to charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
