Volkswagen Will Limit Arteon R-Line Edition to Just 250 Examples

Europe is getting a very limited edition of the Arteon. Any old Euro-trash can get the Arteon R-Line, but only 250 will get the Arteon R-Line Edition.

Starting at EUR 55,970 in Germany, the R-Line Edition offers unique trim combinations, but the detail you’re most likely to notice is the Moonstone Grey paint. The color is combined with a black roof and is being reserved exclusively for the R-Line Edition.

The paint is combined with 20-inch Rosario alloy wheels. The whole look is finished off with tinted rear windows.

The features the owners are likeliest to notice are inside, where you get Nappa leather. Thanks to a standard winter package you can heat any or all of the seats.

Navigation, Wireless app-connectivity, voice control, and DAB+ digital radio are all also standard on this trim package. A digital cockpit and VW’s latest infotainment system are also standard here and nearly meet to make the dash look like it’s made up of one large screen.

Speaking of technology, you also get Area View, which digitally composite a third-person view of you and your car so that you can drive as if you’re playing Gran Turismo.

You can only get the R-Line Edition with a 2.0-liter four-pot, but whether you want it to make 19o-odd hp as a diesel, 235 hp as a TSI, or 270 hp as a beefier TSI is up to you. No matter what you pick, the car will shift via a 7-speed dual-clutch box.
