VW Sponsors Chattanooga MotorCar Festival

Call Toad, of Toad Hall, because there’s a MotorCar Festival a-happening in Chattanooga this fall and Volkswagen is sponsoring it.

Since its factory has been in Chattanooga since 2011, it only makes sense that VW would sponsor the first Chattanooga MotorCar Festival, taking place on the weekend of October 11.

The events playing out over the weekend will include a time trial, a concours d’elegance, a road rally, and much more.

“Since 2011, our Chattanooga assembly plant has been building Volkswagen products for Americans in America, and the city occupies a special place in our hearts,” said Scott Keogh, CEO, and President, Volkswagen Group of America. “We are pleased to sponsor this event benefitting the Chattanooga Erlanger Neuroscience Institute—the region’s only certified academic Neuroscience Center—and be a part of doing Something Bigger for the community there.”

Guests will include TV’s Alain de Cadet, retired race car driver Brian Redman, TV’s Wayne Carini, among others. You can check out the website for a full list of the event’s distinguished guests.

“We welcome and value Volkswagen’s support of the Chattanooga MotorCar Festival,” said Byron DeFoor, founder of the Chattanooga MotorCar Festival. “Volkswagen understands the value of showcasing not only new cars, but classic cars, in a dynamic venue, and providing family entertainment at the same time.”
