Does anyone know where you can find the gear ratios of your car.

I have a '01 VW GTI 1.8T.

They are listed on this site. For an 02+, change the final drive to 3.65 and use the other gear ratios.

Too bad it does not have my Tip listed.
I should know by now but.... Does anyone know my ratios? I do know that we still get the 3.94 final.

I believe it is 4.44:1 for the TIP car's.

Hmmmm.... Really? I thought it was 3.94
Do you know the other 5 as well? I searched around quite a bit (Vortex and Web) and couldn't pin them down. I imagine they are in the Bentley but I do not have one yet. Thx

1st 3.80 :
2nd 2.13 :
3rd 1.36 :
4th 0.94 :
5th 0.69 :

Reverse 2.97 : 1

Wrong, for 5-sp manual, the 2000-2001 1.8T came with a 3.94, after with the 180hp, it is 3.65 final drive.
It's in any MK4 bentley manual.

True but I was not talking about a 5sp manual, I was talking about my 5sp Tip. I thought I read we kept the 3.94 when the manual changed to 3.65 but it seems we changed to 4.44
