Got my recalled coilpacks replaced today...

Can't say I notice any performance differences, but the service tech said it should fix the rough idle and bad cold starts I've been having. Also wont have to worry about them failing on the road.

not paying for it is pretty nice too.

Did you have to wait for the car to die in order to bring it in?? Or did you just bring it in and say, "where the f*** are my coil packs?

i got a letter from VWOA saying my coilpacks were under recall so i just called up my dealer and let them know i had a recall appointment, and they scheduled me for today. none of mine failed, but from what the service guy said about my symptoms, at least one was on its way out.
