I have a vw symbol on my sunroof have had it there for about 5 months

Be it "tastefull" or tacky, I love my light and there's no way I would put any sticker on my sunroof and block my light. Even if in the vent position the only people who would see it would be trucks. Or stock suspension Mk.III's (hahahaha, kidding!)
