I have a 2013 golf R with 89k miles. Haldex was “serviced” at around 40k miles shortly after I bought the car by VW dealership. The car had a stage 2 tune and some other bolt ons when I bought. I noticed what I thought was the clutch slipping. When I got on the gas in third gear or higher, the RPM would all of a sudden quickly rise but slow accelarion as if clutch was slipping. Come to find out I changed the Haldex and front/rear diff fluids this past weekend. The Haldex fluid was clearing dirty and the rear diff looked brand new fluid. The front diff fluid was pretty dirty and could tell it was a heavier weight oil that what came out of rear diff. Then it hit me, the VW dealer put Haldex fluid in the rear diff :( after replacing rear diff fluid with correct oil haven’t noticed the “slipping” I think it was due to incorrect fluid this whole time and the slipping type symptom was coming from the rear diff. Would putting lower weight Haldex fluid in the rear diff cause that issue? Still running on what I believe is original clutch and have just been to cheap to replace it and ever since I noticed the “slipping” I have babied the car as to make it not “slip”.

You bumped a 4 year old thread in the completely wrong generation Golf R section. I don't think you're in the right spot champ.
