congrats, but you also have the fastest vw in north america.
you gotta admit its HARD for a normal guy to get the credit.

i get 3 magazine features and none of them are eligible for the credit because they were too old.. I even paid the full list price for my quaife years ago.

good for you brian!! Glad someone got something from it.

what combo do you have that pulls 10's with a stock motor?

The motor was all stock cept for robolts, headbolts, and a metal headgasket for 8:5:1 comp. I had DTA, GT40R turbo, Short runner manifold, 23psi of boost and was all tuned by the wizard Schimmel. I had a piece of junk GM map sensor, now I have a Motec one. If I had the Motec one before I prob would have broke into the 9's sooner and with the stock motor

Tim also got the credit and hes just a normal guy. Plus when I called them Ralph had no idea who I was and probably didnt even know there was a 9sec dud out there so I dont think that benifit me in any way

Not really true like Brian said... I have been in contact w/ Ralph and send him every little tid bit of info or blurb that I can find about my car. Now, I do not have a fast as hell car BUT I do race the car at a lot of National events (when the car is together)... sooner or later all the racing adds up, people notice the car, little write ups, photos, etc., etc.
I think this is a great offer and hope that we can benifit from this soon.
I must say that I am very bummed that Anthony gets over looked for 3 major multiple page articles written up in major mags, Modified Mag, Eutotuner and The Golf all covered Anthony's car in the past year. He has been racing hard for years and I wish they would just honor these article for the time and effort spent racing a VW.

Glad it worked out for you and Timmy, I am just sorry my car was not together for the shoot.... It would have been nice to get that 1k credit...

Just wanted to add, that we worked out the fine details of my credit and that I have also received my $1000 credit from Autotech. They took the time to straighten things out and stood up to there offer.... Now just need to save up that Christmas money so I can get me a 6-spd
