Anyone in the bellevue area go to autohaus vick. Smaller business but they do good stuff and they warrenty their stuff unlike many shops.

they get a http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif from me... I took my girlfriend's Jetta there before we bought it to get it checked out and the tech grabbed the wrong inspection paper or something and still filled it out. I had to ask for the compression test numbers and had to ask for a more detailed report from the owner, but all I got was ohh ya its good.... For $140 or $160 we paid to get it inspected, they did one of the most crappiest jobs I have ever seen... I would never take my car there to get worked on, since they can't do a simple inspection right...

Re: (buddylove)

CAMPBELL-NELSON!!!! I have had my car in and out of there for various reasons for the last three years, and THEY ROCK!! They have always been quick, reasonable, helpful, knowledgable. The only time I had a problem is when a little punk kid washer-boy washed my car and lightly scratched the clear... but they had a local shop buff it out perfect on their dime of course without any question.
I've also heard that FAT CITY is pretty cool - they are on 5th and around Denny DT Seattle... they are kinda wierd about how much they care about your car, but the quality of work I heard is really good. They aren't any cheaper than the dealerships though. I would stand by Campbell-Nelson for anything. Also, Brian there sometimes checks out the Vortex, and they are pretty reasonable about Mods tooo... they are open until 8:30pm M-Th, 5:30pm on Friday, and 800a-400p and Saturday! They are at 425 778-1131. They also have a used part yard up in Woodinville, so if you're car is older they can do the most for ya. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Campbell Nelson has the best service dept. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I agree.... EXCELLENT service dept. at Campbell/Nelson!!!
I bought my car from CarterVW....but the service manager is a real jerk to customers and has a flippant attitude....and LOVES to diagnose a car he has never seen.
Image

There is nothing more annoying than a service manager that tries to tell a customer that a certain noise is "normal".....when the service manager has no CLUE as to what the abnormal noise IS!!!!! I wont go into specifics....but I took my car to Campbell/Nelson and they diagnosed the "normal" noise and fixed the problem for me....
Hope this helps ya....

Re: New to Seattle, which VW Dealer has best service dept? (SeattleChad)

I've had good luck at campbell nelson. Sadly, I haven't seen the parts guy Brian in a few months, I went in and he said "Hi Ted".
Peter in the service dept did good by me during the window regulator catastrophe of 2002. I informed them that VW was replacing the broken ones and he said, we are? I said that there was a new bulletin, they took my car in and started working on it, they made the calls that they needed to confirm, then replaced my passenger side at the same time, no breakage required. I was really happy with that one. Cost to me was $0 and they gave me a loaner for the 2 hours that they had my car.

IS Auburn VW mod friendly??? I have been holding off on chipping my car among other mods simply because I dont want to void my 4 year warranty.
