I have a 2016 GTi VII. I recently complained to VW and to my local dealership about a vibration that feels like the car is about to idle when the car is not moving.
The dealership called VW USA because they were baffled and VW first suggested replacing the injectors which they did to no affect.
They then suggested a software update that I felt worked briefly but then the issue returned very shortly afterwards.
They called in the regional engineer to look - twice and I was told this was normal which I continued to question. Literally passengers in the car can feel the juddering.
So I asked to witness the same thing in another GTi and guess what - it happened in that car too. The service rep said he was surprised he'd not had more complaints and said that some cars have the issue worse than others which indicates that this is not - as VW said it was - intentional.
So I wanted to throw this out to the community to see what you think? Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated.
Hopefully it's not unsafe but this should not be the experience in a brand new car (it's happened since I first got it).
