for a good euro look get some euro bumpers and euro lights. that's always a good start anyway. maybe some clear or tinted turn signals....

beat me to it, if you are looking for some euro bumps or lights, check the classifieds on here (vortex), or ebay. The lights arent too bad on price about 150-200 shipped normally. Bumpers are getting expensive because of shipping and just pure demand. Not sure of a wheel right now, but deep dish style wheels are definitely sexy.. good luck

Re: European Look (Scirocco G60T)

US Bumper.
Bracket: Cut, Shortened
Cover: Cut, Shortened, Trimmed, Fiberglass'd.
took a lot of time, it looks good in the pictures, but upclose, you'd be able to see the imperfections. it's alright though, didn't cost much.
(add .orig.jpg for bigger version)

Re: European Look (OldshcoolAudi)

lower the crap out of the car
Image

i've seen those cars get as low as 2cm off of the ground (and have a friend in germany that has it like that
Image

)
plus, it makes the car look one heckuva lot better http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: European Look (the_mad_rabbit)

yup ..
thats true !
i remember when i did the suspension ( Apex Springs and Koni Yelows )...
man was that a huge improvement in handling and it looked hella agressive even with just a 1.75" drop!
not worth goin any more than that because u will upset the handling of the car due to the position of the contol arms.

Re: European Look (GTI 8v)

195/45R14 tires on deep 8" wheels, Euro bumpers, 4x6" H4 lights (the car looks lower than with the euros), lower it (so much that you can't het up a sidewalk). As for turn signals, it depend's on the color of you'r car. If it's dark get smoked front turn signals and black striped rear lights. If it's red get red rear lights (or red strip some euro rear lihgt's) and clear fron't turn signals (don't forget diadem bulbs). Get a Über stering wheel (OMP, Momo, Sparco... but simple (like the OMP rally)). Get a nice "golfball" shift knob. Get a 16v body kit (if you don't have one), a nice exhust with a single oval or DTM tip, that isent too big. And shave the car (no badge's).
But that's youst my opinion

- Stock turns ( for now )
- color - black
- tailights ( working on polishing the ridges out )

Do the ends look like this or are the just cut straight off...
Image

my ends look like that, i chopped from the Edge to like 3" or 4", then the piece that got chopped, ...that piece got chopped even more from the inside, then the remaining piece gets glued/fiberglass'd back on so it looks stock......kinda hard to explain..

Re: European Look (backburner)

first thing you do is pick up Performance VW or VW Scene magazine
(In can sell you some of mine).
Euro look ingredients:

KW coilover kit from Colour Tuning -lowers overs 3"
13x7 or 13x8
15x8 w/ 195/45/15 Toyo T1S
or 14x8 w/ 195/45/14 Toyo T1S tires
Wheels: Revolution, Schmidt, JE Design Turbo, PLS, Tramont, Brock, Borbet, Azev ... This deserves a whole other post
Remove all trim - bump strips , rear wipers, badging,
recaro seats
euro spec bumpers
euro lighting, sqaure headlights OK
The euro look is min imalistic. no body kits (maybe a front spoiler)
small Wide rims with low pro rubber , slammed , minimal interior..
basically a shiny and clean version of a race car
