I found another MK3 I wanted to import from Germany,so I hit up Nick @ open air imports, and a deal was quickly done. The car is a two owner's from new example, sold new in Spain, finished in "candy white",and in excellent original condition. The original speedline wheels are in outstanding original condition,as is all original bolts and hardware...The factory cosmoline is still present everywhere, and the GTi shows zero signs of corrosion anywhere...I'm very excited to tear into this MK3 asap!

1/24/2023 GTI found and seller contacted.
1/26/2023 GTI and all fees for importing, shipping, etc paid for.
2/05/2023 GTI picked up by Ivan and taken back to @avus.work. for a once over before her journey across the Atlantic!!!
4/24/2023 GTI dropped off@the port of Zeebrugge,Belgium!
5/16/2023 GTI clears U.S. customs, and leaves the port to go into storage until my second GTI arrives from the U.K.
8/09/2023 Both Golf GTI's loaded up and on their way to Colorado!

Nice! Interior pics please.
I'll have a ton more pics to come as I make progress!Once I do my first detail,i'll be putting on my ultra ultra low coilovers,TT exhaust, hella DE's,possibly my bonrath monowiper kit, deep VR6 lip,and a lot more stuff...Stay tuned!

Careful, the exhaust will likely not fit out of the box. Euro spec vs US spec slight exhaust differences, especially the cat and the length of it. I ran across that problem trying to install a TT exhaust on my Euro spec ABF car.

Yea,already worked around this issue before...I may just run a straight pipe setup,as I don't need to smog the car in the county I live in...I also have a Jetex system, so may go this route also.We shall see.

this thing is pristine!! I really want to get a Vento from Open Air Imports in this condition and just keep it hella OEM+ and simple. Good luck with your build!
Thanks, she is a very clean example!Hit up Nick and Ivan, great guys, and can help you find what you want.I think they may have a Vento available at the moment, but you can always search for the car you want, and let them deal with the logistics.Every MK3 I've imported has been found and picked out by myself...I just let Nick deal w the transatlantic shipping and paperwork to get them into the country.Below are some pics of Ivan picking her up from the seller...

What's going on in the rear cargo area on the left side? My euro spec one has a 1st aid kit and warning triangle there (and a mount for both). Looks like yours has some kind of black case? Is that OEM? I've always thought my warning triangle didn't fit in the bracket correctly. And I've tried several OEM ones in different lengths and the fitment was the same.

Where did you find those? Been watching Classic Parts for the rear textured portion and the front upper textured portion.
I got them from a old friend out of British Columbia! They were not cheap.
I also pulled the trigger, and ordered my Chevlon Racing wheel's.!They say it's a 3 or 4 month wait time, but IMO,well worth the wait!
